METS WIN ON HOCKEY NIGHT! The Binghamton Mets won their Annual Hockey Night game on the final Sunday of the Regular Season. A bright spot for an otherwise dreary season (and we're not only talking the weather). The Booster Club had a group at the game, and the Mets wore Senators themed baseball jerseys. Other fun hockey related activities and video clips helped pay tribute to the area's hockey loving side. The Go Sens Go chant even appeared a couple times throughout the night! Hockey season is right around the corner!!!
BALTIMORE OR BUST! The Binghamton Senators Booster Club sent 28 people to Baltimore for the AAHLBC Convention; that was the most of any club in attendance! Tours and side trips into Baltimore's inner harbor area (just two blocks from the former home of the AHL's Clippers, Skip Jacks, and Bandit's) proved quite popular! This year's convention theme was "Wide World of Sports" and we had more costume winners - Dick Havich won the individual male category with "Agony of De-Feet" and Anne Bello led a spot on recreation of the Jamaican Bobsled team - right down to the bob sled! Congrats Boosters! Don't forget next year - WE HOST - and the theme will be Comic Strips!
BOOSTERS' SAFARI PICNIC GETS WILD!! Thanks to everyone who came out to the Booster Club's Annual Summer Picnic on August 23rd. This year's picnic had a Safari theme, as we moved it to Ross Park Zoo's new picnic pavilions. Despite rain that afternoon 91 people enjoyed themselves at the Zoo. Thanks to the Picnic Committee - Charlene Coates, Sally Spence, Chris Luckert, Gene Wells, Peg Smith & Justin MacGregor. Also a special thanks to Q107 Radio for providing the Boosters with free admittance into the zoo! We'll be back at Ross Park by popular demand next summer!!
PLAYER OF THE MONTH Martin St. Pierre is the Senator to earn the Player of the Month honors for the November 2009-2010 season, as voted by the members attending the December 2 meeting. Martin’s six goals and his 16 points led the Sens for team honors. His strong game and speed is the spark that we need against all teams. This effort is what we need and our fans appreciate it. Martin will receive a gift certificate award of $50 for Cortese Restaurant.
| PLAYERS PARTY BLUES CASINO NIGHT HAS BEEN CANCELLED... A POOR MONDAY DATE, FOLLOWING THE SUPER BOWL LIMITED INTEREST IN THE EVENT.
